What are the chances the MLB tells Houston they have to keep it open like they did last time?
Wow, actual fall type weather. Those temps for Saturday and Sunday are far too chilly for us Houstonians especially if we get the usual breeze that come with fronts. Roof closed.Bonfired said:
Subject to change, naturally, but the forecasts for Friday through Sunday as of right now:
Friday 80/56 20% chance of rain
Saturday 64/45. 50% chance of rain
Sunday 65/51 clear

Even if it was ideal weather they wouldn't open the roof.
MMP is much louder without the tops drop.

Which is why bud selig forced the roof to be open in 2005... .

F*** Bud Selig. I hate that guy.
POS Selig isn't running baseball anymore. He was out to screw Houston any time he could.Philip J Fry said:

Not sure if it changed, but in 2005 MLB made all stadium related decisions during the playoffs.WelchAg said:
I don't understand what MLB can actually do about it if we say we are doing whatever the **** we want? If it's policy they care about, write something up and change the policy. It's our stadium. We should do whatever we damn well please.

Crane would get to have a say, but MLB calls the shots, and they're influenced by television. Long story short, if Fox wants the roof open, it'll be open. Hope the chance of rain increases for the weekend.
Its the universe where Fox pays MLB a gagillion $$ to broadcast the WS. If they want it open because it looks better on TV they will get a say in that.WelchAg said:
So the network could dictate this? In what ****ing universe does that have any impact on the TV broadcast?

Yes, but cold air and a topless kate >>>>>>>> warm air and a topless kate. I will take my chances with her being topless to start.mazag08 said:mathguy86 said:Its the universe where Fox pays MLB a gagillion $$ to broadcast the WS. Roof closed = better chance Kate is wearing less clothes.
Easy decision.

Last I saw the low for Saturday was in the 30s... may be too cold for it to be opendlance said:
Guarantee the roof is open Saturday and Sunday. Could be closed Friday with 40% chance of rain at game time.
Friday: 69/44 - 40%
Saturday: 65/43 - Sunny
Sunday: 71/54 - Sunny
ETA: I will be pleasantly surprised if they manage to keep it closed.
