Anyone tried to watch a Spring Training game yet in 2026? I know there aren't any blackouts until regular season, but I wanted to make sure my setup from last year was still working. I used Cypress as my location all last season, and it worked great. I tried that and about 25 other locations today. MLB.TV blocked them all. Looking for a Surfshark VPN locale that still works before I go through them all one by one.

I know that the ESPN app also broadcasts games now, but that app is configured with my Hulu login, and I watch college baseball with it (without VPN) several times a week. It seemed likelier to me that I would have luck with the MLB.TV app than ESPN's.

In a sport that is perceived to be losing popularity over the last 20 years to other sports, MLB's inability to make their product accessible to consumers WHO WANT TO CONSUME IT is just simply mindblowing

I noticed a handful of teams that are using MLB to broadcast their games are offering a package that bypasses the blackouts for an additional charge. Why arent all teams doing this? Its dumb I have to have Victory Sports and MLB tv. Just give it to me all at once.

I've done mlb tv for several years now and we have YouTube tv. I can watch every game but the rangers and Astros. Hardly ever get to see those teams play.

I've had MLB.TV since 2018. I've always used VPN to be able to watch the Cardinals and Royals here in Mid-Missouri. Prime Sports Fox Sports Bally Sports Fanduel Sports Midwest adds about $25 per month to your TV bill, and outside of the professional sports it shows, it's a garbage channel.

I'm sure I'll find a VPN server that still works with the app. The Cardinals should be happy that someone is watching their sorry asses. I saw a lot of losses last year. Honestly, the Royals were more fun to watch.

OP, when I was using a VPN I had luck with Nord. But that was a few years ago...

Were you using an iOS device? I could never get it to work that way. I had to hook up my laptop to my TV and aircast it. I agree that the whole arrangement sucks. I'm fortunate, now, that TMobile has MLB.tv for free. For the Astros, I used to have Fubo, but now I subscribe to SCHN and watch that way.
