We're in an Air BNB out that way next weekend (Thursday-Monday). Anyone have suggestions on places for dinner and live music? Other must sees? Our son lives in Nashville so we've been there, done that…looking to check out some new places and avoid the chaos of the city. TIA!

I lived there for 5 years, but moved in 2017, so my information is old. In the past, the frothy monkey was good, and Grays on main had a great bar. See if there is music at the Franklin theater. A lot of restaurants on Main Street, and some new ones on 4th. It's a really good place to just walk around downtown and see what you like.
55 South is good, and Puckets is good for breakfast,, but the one in Leiper's Fork is better.

I was there for a couple days recently. Enjoyed the walking tour (visitfranklin.COM). Very cool old bookstore, Landmark Bookstore, in historic building that Sam houston visited among others.

Some good nearby hikes.

Mojo's Tacos in The Factory Franklin.

Have fun!!

Great suggestions. I assume 5 daughters donuts is still in the factory. Good donuts. A lot of things in there. And landmark is interesting.
And for history, Carnton and the battlefield sites
Also Arrington vineyards has great views for wine and a picnic
McCreary's pub for breakfast. Incredible soda bread

If you're into Civil War history at all, visit the old battlefield. It's a really neat preserved space with a small museum now.

Culaccino for Italian two blocks from the square. Merridee's Breadbasket. Second Frothy Monkey.

I keep thinking of places that were in our rotation. For breakfast and sandwiches, Franklin Mercantile is really good. Merridees is good, but I prefer others except for pastries. McCrearys is still my favorite breakfast.
