Not sure what you're looking for, but Cannery Beach is pretty cool. It's public and away from resorts, but you could cab right up to it. There were some (3-4) vendors right at the road/boardwalk, but none on the beach itself. Walk down the beach past the old cannery building, through the low tide crossing, and there's a good spread of relatively isolated beach to enjoy. Right on the main channel into the marina, so plenty of boat traffic 150yds out for gawking. Not much shade, saw some people with cheap small pop tents (check Amazon). You can also keep going down the beach over an easy 30' climb to Divorce (?) Beach and almost to the arch, but we had kiddos with us and didn't venture further. Easy walk back to the Marina from there.
