My son will graduate May 2024.

School calendar shows commencements from May 9th - 11th.
When do they post which ceremony for each college?
We are a family of 6 with possible 2 to 4 additional family members driving in as well.

I am looking for recommendations on where to stay, how far in advance for reservations for lodging and restaurants etc. from those that have done this recently.
Thank you in advance.

I bet it will be March before dates for each college are set. In the past I have just made several reservations on different dates that i could cancel when we found the dates.

I am absolutely useless in answering your question. But congratulations. Always great to have another Aggie grad.

My sons high school graduation was at TAMU this past May. I booked a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express on University about a year in advance. No deposit and the rooms were fully refundable up to 24 hours before. It was about the cheapest option, too.

I will say, the hotel was a little run down and looked like they might have been doing a reno or repairs. Not the greatest HIE, but not the worst either.

My son graduated this past May and commencement times were announced on March 27. We reserved an AirBnB in November 2022 covering the general date range of graduation. We had until April to revise our reservation dates which we did once the specific date was announced. If you plan on a celebratory dinner, I would also recommend making any dinner reservations as early as possible because they will fill very quickly as well.
