Headed back for a few days to enjoy New Orleans and celebrate my wife's b-day. Looking for some recommendations for dining outside the Quarters.

We've made a number of trips to NoLa, and to give you an idea of our "likes", we've been to many places between Jacques-Imos and Port of Call, from Commander's Palace, Mr, Bs, Rib Room, Irene's, Brenner, GW Fins, Hobnobbers, etc.

Cuisine: Cajun, Seafood, steak, Italian, American, is to her tastes. No Indian or Mediterranean, nothing of that sort.

Appreciate any suggestions, input.

Good scattering of locations and cuisines. Which fits right in as when we get to NoLa, we tend to just wander around, expecting (hoping?) to "find" or stumble across something that looks good.
These give us a good back-up plan if necessary.
