Not good. Would not advise. Here on a friends 40th and they picked the resort. Pretty water but the beach is nearly washed out. Rooms are decent, can't really complain. Food is average. Drinks are terrible. I ordered a screwdriver this morning and it was Sunny D.

Not an adults only which should have been our one and only red flag but again we didn't want to get picky. Thankfully here with good friends and we'll still have fun. Just wanted to give a review I'd anyone was thinking about coming.

They chose….poorly.

This has been on my do not sell list for quite some time. I added it to a few quotes after the renovations, but it just keeps getting bad reviews. I've had 2-3 families go and have fun but they also had very low expectations (and it was one of very few in budget). Hope the rest of your stay gets better.

I've revised my initial review a bit. I would still not recommend going as a couple. There's just not a lot to do and the beach is not great although the water is pretty with very little sea weed.

If you need a cheaper option with a group of friends it was just fine. After I got over the cheapness we had a blast drinking and hanging out. The Hibachi grill was actually pretty good. Drinks were still bad. I stuck with beer and pina colada.

And after all it was cheap. I think the price reflected the hotel so can't really complain. That said I don't think we'll stray from Hyatt Zilara or Excellence again.
