Just arrived from Germany today and boy did we ever get caught up in a winter storm in Munich this weekend. The airport and rail transit has been a total crap show since Saturday. We actually got out to Nuremberg on Monday on one the few ICE's that were running and transferred to Frankfurt from there. Christmas markets were amazing but really really cold in all that snow.

Augustiner Braustuben near the hauptbanhoff is a good time at Christmas.

We liked the Viktulian markt. Goulash is good.

A hidden gem we found this time was Pusser's New York Bar on Falkenturm Strasse. The bar tenders there are first class and they make the best pain killer outside of the BVI.

I just got hammered off a steady supply of gluhwein and Augustiner Edelstoff... I've never seen the edelstoff outside of the winter time. so tasty.

Great photos! We're excited about our Christmas holidays in Germany this year, and my wife has a strong desire to visit Switzerland too, so we're considering including it in our itinerary. Recently, I came across information stating that a vignette is required for Swiss fast roads, and it seems we can conveniently purchase it online at https://vignette.express. Can anyone confirm if this is accurate? Any insights or tips for our holiday travels would be much appreciated
