We have a milestone anniversary coming up and want to take a trip. We have young kids so it'll be 3-4 days and I want to make the most of the time.

The non-stop options to the Caribbean are limited and generally connect through Miami. Turks, Bahamas, Cayman, and Cabo are all options but we've done a few of those before.

Where else should we consider? Cabo is the only spot in Mexico we're open to.

Edit: the only criteria are a beach and preferably an all inclusive. We've done Jamaica and DR before too.

Have you done the USVI or BVI?
Unfortunately both of those are all day trips getting to and from.

No. St Lucia was on my short list but I ruled it out due to the lack of a direct flight. It'll happen one day but not this trip.

Based on what you are looking for Cabo does have a lot a great all-inclusive options. Important to note a lot of beaches in Cabo are not swimmable. All-inclusive vary by price. If you want first hand destination knowledge in helping you plan this trip my contact info is in my bio. Just in 2023 I've been to 30+ properties in Mexico. Happy to help.

There is a flight from Miami to Tortola, which makes this much simpler now, can bypass Puerto Rico altogether. This would be my recommendation. Charter a boat or rent a house or go to a resort, can do any of those. It's absolutely beautiful.

This is interesting. Did you find the lack of restaurant options a detractor when you went?

We generally ate on resort for breakfast and dinner. Town is a short boat ride (included) or golf cart away. There is even an Aggie owned bar in San Pedro. At least there used to be. It is a VERY chill place. Wife went to the spa one day while I went out on a inshore fishing charter. It was just me my buddy and the guide. We caught a few fish, brought them back to the resort and they cooked them up for us. It's not the world's prettiest beach. But the relaxation is immense

Went and pulled up my photo album from the trip. This was 10 years or so ago. There are were only 20 casitas on the resort. So like less than 50 guests. The prices were very reasonable as well.

You fly into Belize City. Then you can take a small plane to San Pedro or the ferry. I recommend the plane even though it look like our pilot was 19 and this was my view of him.

They take you from the airport in a golf cart to the dock. There are very few cars on the island. The resort boat picks you up and takes your cocktail order. 5 minute boat ride and you get off at the resort. Your cocktail is waiting for you. Below are pictures of our fishing charter the resort casitas some meals and the beaches.

I really just wanted to star this picture. I'd have that blown up and framed in my office.

Thank you.

That's a little weird. But, I guess I can send you the high res if you want to blow it up and hang it in your office.

I have this one from another fishing trip....

Ha Ha.
No, just the one with the A&M shirt, the cigar and the fish.

You should use that one as your Internet profile pic - Zoom, LinkedIn, Association of Former Students, etc.
