My wife is wanting to go to Belgium this year for some music festival. This happens to be the same week as the start of the Olympics in Paris. My thought was we'd go to the games after the music deal. Has anyone had any experience with going to the the Olympic Games?

Not really. I didn't "go" as a spectator but I did go to the '96 Olympics in Atlanta as an employee.

It was the summer after my freshman year at ATM. I was going home for the summer, but my sister who lived in Atlanta asked if I wanted to come out and work.

They had more work to do in the city than they had people.

So I went and got a job for the staffing agency that hired for the ACOG (Atlanta/american ? Committee of the Olympic Games)

All I will say is, it was tremendously crowded. I kept hearing the city had 4x its normal population

So, getting tix, etc… I don't know anything about it. I will say be prepared for crowds
