Is the Rail Runner Express train from the Albuquerque airport to Santa Fe as simple as it appears?

Sounds like you Uber from the airport to the train station and then just catch the next train to the Santa Fe Depot. ... do you need to get tickets in advance?

Is there a shuttle from the airport to the downtown ABQ station?

Anything else I'm missing?

There used to be a shuttle, no different than getting a rental car.

You don't need tickets beforehand; you can buy them on the train. Have fun! It's a beautiful ride.

Can you get to where you want in Santa Fe via Uber or taxi? Just getting a rental car seems easier. But then, I like to go outside Santa Fe...

You'll need a ticket to board route 50 bus. I think you can buy on the bus, but make sure it covers the Rail Runner too. Route 50 heads north up Yale, through UNM campus, and then downtown for the rail terminal. Rode that route 100s of times (Sunport to UNM and back). Did the Rail Runner once to Santa Fe. Getting around Santa Fe will require Ubers.

All city buses in ABQ are free.
