My wife and I are going to Paris in March for 10 days. I have to go there for work, but we're going over about 10 days before to travel around France a little. We've been to Paris together before, but only got to spend a couple of days there, so we'll probably stay in Paris for 3-4 days to see the things we didn't see before and just hang out a little. We have one side trip planned to Normandy area and Mont Saint Michele. We're looking for probably one more side trip from Paris that could be up to 2-3 days, either by train or by car.
Does anyone have a particular city or region that you've been to that you would recommend. If by train, would prefer that it's accessible by the bullet train within 2-3 hours. We would plan to head there one morning, spend the day, stay at least one night, then head back to Paris either the second night or spend one more night and head back on the morning of the third day. If by car, would prefer it to be within a 3-4 hour drive from Paris.
