Wanted to see if anyone would have any recommendations for resorts to visit for our upcoming summer family vacation. Last summer, our family visited Grand Hyatt Baha Mar and had a great time. Our kids (9 and 6 now) loved the beach and water park.

We asked them what their favorite things were about last years trip and they both said the snorkeling and water park. Baha Mar a had lot of manmade structures/reefs that had good habitat. We found countless star fish, conks, sea turtles, lobsters, and tons of fish. Knowing how much they enjoyed snorkeling, we wanted to make sure we picked a spot that offered good access to snorkeling or at least had an option to take a boat out to a good area to snorkel.

Obviously, the Atlantis would be one to consider, but does anyone know if they have good snorkeling from their beaches? Looks like they do offer some excursions we could sign up for if beach snorkeling wasn't great.
Is Atlantis really worth it if the kinds want good snorkeling? If yes, which tower/hotel would be the best choice?

Any other resorts we should consider?

The Reef at Atlantis has the best beach in my opinion and the best for snorkeling/shelling.

Since you've been to Baha Mar you know how expensive things are there, so Atlantis won't be much sticker shock.

Margaritaville has been on my radar for a few months but I haven't had anyone stay there and not sure how the snorkeling is.

I've had a lot of clients go out on a day tour with snorkeling out to some great reefs and private islands.

Ya last year we literally brought a checked bag just with all our groceries. Mainly easy breakfast items, snacks and PBJs for easy lunches if we weren't wanting a big lunch.

I would switch it up at go to Grand Cayman. The snorkeling is excellent, water clear, felt very safe there with our kids.
