Has anyone flown SWA to HNL? We would be flying out of Dallas. Just wanting too see how the experience was.

I've flown to LIH on Southwest. It's pretty much the same experience as all other flights. You may get a second helping of snacks and drinks.

I'll be doing it in April. They won't go direct from DAL obviously. Since I don't need to be in HNL until Tuesday, I'm making a stop on the 9th Island on the way. DAL -> Vegas on Friday night and then direct from LAS -> HNL on Monday morning.

And bags fly free!

We did something similar: stopped in LA to see friends for a night before taking off to Kauai. The two bags flying free is nice, especially since we go for two week trips with all our snorkel gear and wine.

We did HOU-HNL last January, with a stop in Phoenix on the way and San Diego on return.

Not gonna lie ... it was a bit of a challenge as both Phoenix-Honolulu and Honolulu-San Diego flights were completely full. There's just no room. Started to feel like a sardine after three or four hours.

Done it once from LAX, as others have said nothing notable. They have a couple extra drink options.

Though, I fly BWI to LAX often though so 5 hours on a SW flight doesn't feel unusual

Houston to Kona was fine. Stopped in LA going and Vegas coming back.
