I just turned 50, we celebrate 15 years of marriage this year, and he turns 50 this year (I'm a chick - handle is our former dog's name).

We're going to Bottlerock in Napa then to Bodega Bay then are flying down to Cabo for our 50/15/50 trip. We've heard great things about both places in Cabo but wondered if anyone here has experience with both and can describe pros/cons. TIA
(We've never spent that kind of money on hotels before)

Stayed at the Waldorf when it was The Resort at Pedregal. Super nice. It's right in the city and you can walk to all the restaurants and bars but because of the tunnel you feel like you aren't in town.

Obviously it's pricey but it's my favorite down there because of the combo of quality and location.

We just can't get our head around those rates! The Ritz is much more reasonable. Anyone have experience there?

I have had a couple of clients stay at the Ritz, Zadun and they loved it. It's luxury, high end, and absolutely stunning. I love Los Cabos in general and there are so many great properties.

When I booked their stay for them I was able to secure these perks:
  • $150 resort credit Plus Private roundtrip airport transfers
  • Complimentary Breakfast: Full For Two People
Daily Breakfast for two guests per bedroom
  • Upon Availability Early Check-in & Guaranteed Late Check-out
  • Property will offer upgrade at time of check in (subject to availability)
  • Welcome Amenity: VIP Welcome Amenity
  • Suite Amenity: One-time additional $150 USD Resort Credit for Suites, $300 USD Resort Credit for Zadun Suites and $500 USD Resort Credit for Villas and Residence per stay.

Feel free to reach out with any questions! I'd be happy to help!

We stayed at Esperanza last month for my 40th. The property was 5 star all the way around. My wife is still talking about that place. One night we ate at the Waldorf and it also looked great but I felt the food and service at the main restaurant at Esperanza was a bit better. I am sure you can't go wrong with either.

Are you referring to Zadun? It's usually more than the Waldorf apples-to-apples but maybe things have changed recently.

Been going to Los Cabos regularly for 30 years. If you want to do super luxury, do the resort that all the newer resorts mentioned here have tried to emulate since it opened in 1997, Las Ventanas al Paraiso. Out of this world service from an incredible staff at an out of this world facility. This place isn't cheap, but it is worth every penny.

My wife and I stayed at Nobu last year when we went to Cabo and loved it. Loved how it wasn't crowded and it's set in just a beautiful landscape.

Be sure to get a reservation and go have dinner at Flora Farms!

Have done both the Waldorf and Rosewood Las Ventanas. Both were amazing properties and would go back to each but each had pros/cons. Waldorf was close to everything so a quick Uber to the marina for fishing or restaurants. Drawback was no golf close and use of the spa was only limited to the day of service vs duration of stay. Los Ventanas is further out so more limited on daily travel into town but does have golf close and the spa is open for guest for the duration of their visit.

Both staffs are extremely attentive and do a great job.

Stayed at Waldorf and it was amazing. But what ever you chose, make sure you go to the other property for dinner (El Farallon Waldorf and Cocina del Mar Esperanza).

Chileno Bay worth checking out too....I thought that was nicer/better service than Waldorf
