Never stayed there before and my daughter has a cheer competition there this May. We have 3 kids in total so 5 of us going, and the rooms are saying max 4 people per room.

We have friends going and were going to put one of my kids on their reservation but just have them stay with us for 5 in a room to circumvent the 4 person max. We would prefer to not get 2 rooms and even then they can't guarantee if they would connect anyway.

Was wondering if they issue wrist bands and do these bands differ from the different towers? Or is this a non -issue for what we are trying to do?

They issue different wristbands every day for the water park. The colors are not different for the towers but they are different colors from the guest pass wristbands they give the cruise ship people. When you get your band they do look you up on the computer before giving you the band so if you ask for 5 and you have 4 people listed they might not give you 5. I've never tried to get more than what's listed on my room.

I also know they usually have a guard on the entrances to the Royal and they sometimes check the bands or room key before letting you in. It all depends on how diligent the guard is that day.

Spent 12 years in competitive cheer with 2 daughters. Spent so much money. SO MUCH MONEY. Comps at Disney, multi state travel. I can't imagine how expensive one is at Atlantis. I just got triggered.

One of my greatest accomplishments was getting my girls out of that and into school cheer/other activities.

Youngest is an Elite Wrangler (country and Western dance team). We LOVE it.

Edit: sorry, didn't mean to poop on your parade. I hope you all have a wonderful time at Atlantis. Good luck.

It's been too long since I've been and most clients don't want to stay there once I share how expensive it is.

Have you tried looking at the Comfort Suites? It is very close by and you get the full access to Atlantis. Maybe they have rooms that sleep 5?

also look into the condos that are on site. I believe you get the same access, but not 100% on that.

Just got back from Baha Mar. I imagine Atlantis is just as expensive.

Had a ton of fun and tried not to think about how much it cost, but get ready for the beatdown!!!

Have stayed at Comfort Suites and Atlantis. Comfort Suites used to have a continental breakfast included. Dunkin' Donuts is close as well as off resort restaurants that are more affordable. Marina Pizza is reasonable for the area too. As noted above, Comfort Suites allows access to the Atlantis water amenities.

Atlantis is a lot of fun! I remember going to the on-site Starbucks to try to get a cheap breakfast for my kids. One banana was like $4. So, pack snacks like bagels, protein bars, etc.

Register your 5th to your friends room (4 max in each room), read the resort fees though I think they charge an extra $50/night for the additional (at least they do if you're on a casino invite). The first day make sure you go with the people in the other room to get your 5th wrist band at the water park and you should be good for as long as you're there, I think the wrist bands have dates on them now if I remember correctly. I'll be there in March and update
