Planning on driving to see family in Montana in late June and want to stop to see Grand Teton NP for a few days on the way up. Looking at AirBNBs in Jackson but are there any other cool places to stay in or near the park?

We stayed on the Idaho side at a really nice Airbnb. It's cheaper and you get a wonderful view of the Tetons. It's only about a 30 minute drive to Jackson Hole.

Dornans is right at the southern entrance to the park. Cabins are fully done up so stop at JH on the way, stock up on food and drinks and relax.

Loved having lunch and drinks on the deck at Dornan's.

The cabin view as the sun rises hitting the Church Pew is nice. A hot cup of coffee, a bunch of chipmunks popping their heads up, a fox skulking through the grass trying the catch a chipmunk is heaven on earth.
And the wine selection at the liquor store is amazing. They have a sommelier on site and the largest selection of french wines in the state. They claim west of the Mississippi.

To avoid some of the crowds, park at String Lake Trailhead and hike south along NW quadrant of Jenny Lake to Inspiration Point, littler over 5 miles roundtrip...can also take horse trail back down to change it up and avoid crowds. Full 1/2 day.ReloadAg said:
Thanks for all of the great suggestions. I was able to find a cabin on AirBnb 15 minutes south of Jackson for $350/night which I thought wasn't too bad for two bedrooms and a full kitchen.
I've just started doing some research on Jackson and Grand Teton but for those of you that have been there, what would you most recommend as far as things to do, hikes, places to eat, etc? We'll have our 8 and 11 year old daughters with us. Thanks.
