Anyone have any feedback or recommendations on Sresmboat in August?

Congrats on presenting the most broad and general question. What do you want to do? This would help immensely for those that are local and would like to help.

Generally I like to keep it broad to not close off an opinion that I might take. There have been many times on this board that I have taken recommendations that didn't "fit" what I thought and it was awesome.

But some background. Wife, myself, and 3 kids (13-9). Love outdoor activities and good food. Open to lodging recs too.

Slavonia Trailhead in Clark is my favorite hike, check out Pearl Lake too.

Back Door Grill has great burgers.

Had a great stay at Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas. They have 2-bedroom suites. One room is a king & the other has a queen & sofa bed.

Hiking and hot springs and fishing and getting high.

Short term rentals are few and far between in the valley. Hotel may make most sense.

Lots to do in the summer - hiking, fishing, mountain biking, float the river, hot springs (although it is summer). There are professional rodeos in the summer and frequent music festivals. Horseback riding. Alpine slide. Ice bumper boats at the skating rink. Also look at Steamboat Lake and Pearl Lake.

Yampa may be too low to really run in August. Depends on when the melt starts.
