Wife and I are traveling to Antigua early August. Anyone been and have any recommendations on things to do or eat?

We were there a few years back for our honeymoon.

There's a great little beach bar/grill on Ffryes Beach that I think is just named Ffyres Beach Bar. Nice spot with great view, good vibes, and pretty good food.

We also did the Wadadli Cats Circumnavigation Tour and it's a must-do. Takes a whole day and you get to see the entire island with a stop for some good snorkeling. Includes lunch and open bar post snorkeling. Like I said it's a must-do in my book.

Since you haven't gotten many responses, I'll second the circumnavigation tour. It was a blast.

Not sure if you are doing a car or taxis, but we enjoyed going to Nelson's Dockyard/Museum and Shirley Heights for a great view and a beer. On a clear day you can see Guadeloupe.

It's been several years since we've been but the above were highlights for us!

So many great options for dining on the island of Antigua!
- Cecilia's High Point Cafe
- Boom Restaurant & Pool
- The Bay at Nonsuch
- The Nest Beach Bar
- BeachLimerZ
- Big Banana Pizza

Antigua is known for it's 365 beaches and I really enjoyed renting a jeep one day and driving around to a few different beaches for kind of a moving beach day. My clients love doing this as well!
There are also a lot of great boat tours that will take you around to different popular beaches as well.

Nelson's dockyard and English Harbour is also a must see, great historical sites and sounds.

Thanks for all the recommendations. We are staying at the Sandals resort there but plan on venturing out for a day!

We were there last year. Nice resort.

There is a bar (Kon Tiki Bar and Grill) on the water a short walk away. You can swim up out to it or wait on a boat to pick you up. Cash only and at least worth breaking up the day from the resort.

We just stayed there a few weeks ago. One thing I'd recommend is reaching out to the resort to get a reservation at Eleanor's if it's on your list to try as it is small and fills up fast. We tried to wait until we got there to book, and there was no availability while we were there.

One thing that I would recommend is the St John's walking food tour through the tour desk.

Man my recommendation would have been skip the all inclusive and rent a jeep/ visit a different part of the island and beach each day. They are all different depending on which side of the island you are on.

Sheer rocks was a great meal 10ish years ago. Had really cool views
