I normally have about 6 flights a week...this week 5 of my 6 have been delayed due to maintenance issues.

I'm not used to this amount.
Is it just a bad week?

I have zero first hand knowledge and this is mostly speculation, but my guess would be that all airlines are seriously paying attention to maintenance issues because of all of the bad PR around weird flight issues, Boeing, etc. As with anything safety related, there are unfortunately going to be times when it's a reactionary business.

A lot of airlines are trying to get bigger checks done between spring break and summer travel seasons so there aren't as many spare aircraft around.

As I was checking my bag this morning at SFO even the agent was commenting on the increase in delays and maintenance issues.....
Then my flight was delayed for an hour while the crew figured out how to deal with a broken seat on a full flight (finally they realized most of the "cleared stand-by" we're also flight attendants and got 1 to sit jump seat.

Airlines cutting corners on maintenance make sure you have updated your will.

Boeing killing off all their staff doesn't help
