Looking for recommendations on hotels to stay at and in what areas would be best. Not looking to spend more than 200 euros/night.

Thanks!

What time of year are you traveling? The pricepoint is variable depending upon the time of year.

What areas would be best is dependent upon your budget. Generally, I stay in northern Munich. Neighborhoods near/on the English Gardens.

Looking at going early September 2025. Long before Oktoberfest.

I'm a big fan of Motel One's in German speaking countries.

Modern, clean, good locations, priced right.

Last time I was in Munich for the Christmas Markets, we stayed at their Sendlinger Tor location.

Hilton Munich Park is adjacent to the English Garden. I have stayed there, and really like it. You will have to the res of the leg work. A simple search will identify hotels adjacent to the English Garden.

I like the ALoft right across the street from the Hauptbenhoff. Priced right, american amenities. Super close to my favorite biergarten in Munich, Augustiner Keller. Walking distance to Marienplatz.

Uline and other longer trains right there at the main train station.

The immediate area adjacent to the Hbf is very touristy and can be a bit sketchy. Actually stayed at a hotel near the Hbf years ago during my very first travel experience in Munich due to the fact it was near the Hbf. Afterwards, I made a point not to stay there on future trips.

Besides, Munich's U-bahn is great and extends everywhere, so staying near the Hbf should not be a requirement.
