I thought about taken my family of five to Dubai. Just to do something different. Do they have all inclusive hotels? Or has anybody gone any recommendations or any other advice

Not an expert (and no idea about all inclusive resorts), but a few thoughts:

1. It will be hot.
2. 12 hour flight from DFW.
3. Always felt safe.
4. Lots of expats, like 90% of people in Dubai are not from Dubai.
5. Emirates >>> any American airline
6. Go to the top of the Burj Khalifa and visit the Dubai Mall / fountains
7. Consider a "desert safari" (think sand dunes in a Lexus, camel rides, dinner, and belly dancing…)
8. See #1 above.

Think Vegas on steriods just without the gambling. The avg to upscale hotels are nicer than most any hotel in the US. There are numerous beach resorts, great golf courses and high end restaurants. Also its a short drive to Abu Dhabi where they have a few great amusement parks on Yas Island, the Louvre and the Grand Mosque. It will be super hot and humid from now until late Oct, which is why they have so many high end malls with aquariums, ski hills, etc. Most of the locals and expats will be on holiday in Switzerland or somewhere cooler over the summer.

Go to Camelicious. It's like a petting zoo with camels, and they make good chocolate from their milk. You'll also be close to AL Minhad air force base if you go. Their version of the Blue Angels/Acrobatic team is there; they often train regularly. You might catch a free show.

Pretty much everyone there speaks English too and accepts American dollars.

Yes they do have all-inclusives there. Some hotels have options where you can bet breakfast included, half board or full board/all-inclusive. But its not every hotel or resort, it is not the norm there.
