First time in that part of the world next month for business and wanted to take 4-5 days to explore a bit with the family. I know the fjords are a big deal (Lyseford and Geirangerfjord). We've already been to Amsterdam nearby.

Can anyone else recommend any other must sees?

Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm, coastal cruises?

Need to be in Stavanger at the end of my trip and it seems it's hard to get around Norway. We are typically beach people so I don't know if much about hiking or sightseeing like this.

Weather considerations?

The Copenhagen zoo has a polar bear if that interest you. Tivoli Gardens is a theme park that Disney is based off of. My kids loved it.

The Stockholm archipelago is beautiful. We did a cruise stop in stockholm. The Vasa ship museum is cool.

My intro to engineering class at A&M had a project based on the Vasa so it was extra cool for me.


You might consider a trip to Iceland if you haven't been.

Any Scandinavian country will be absolutely beautiful this time of year.

I am a huge fan of Copenhagen (CPH). Malmö (Sweden) is a 30 minute train ride. In that way you can knock off two countries without much travel time. Tivoli Gardens would be great for the kids. It is very close to the central train station.

During the summer season, the more affluent Swedes will visit their summer homes in one of the many archipelagoes.

I have not yet traveled to Norway, but intend to do so one summer in the near future.

Should be gorgeous this time of year
