Westjet strike

A few days ago, I booked a flight on Delta for our vacation because they had the only return flight that fit our travel schedule. Today (after the 24 hour free cancellation period ended, of course), I noticed that it is a codeshare, and the flight is actually operated by Westjet. Which is relevant because the Westjet mechanics union just went on strike, grounding their flights.

Any idea how long these types of strikes usually last? My flight is in a month. Surely it won't last that long...right?

Strikes usually end the night before the contract expires. If that doesn't happen, no telling how long they go.

I am stuck in Calgary.

We were supposed to leave yesterday. The earliest flight we could get is Wednesday.

Also, no rental cars available as we were going to try to get to Montana.

Sorry K-Bob. Your situation is obviously worse than my hypothetical one. Hope everything works out for you!
