We always go to Cantina Italiana. Excellent Italian food and an easy stroll to Modern Pastry for cannoli afterwards.

Last week we had an awesome meal/experience at Saltie Girl in Back Bay. Everyone in our party loved their meal. Great caviar selection, excellent cocktails. Will definitely put it in the regular Boston rotation.

Also to answer your question about reservations, I never go anywhere in Boston without one. Particularly in the summer. It's not uncommon to overhear a hostess quoting an hour plus wait to walk-ins.
