I'm in Dallas for business 2-3 times a month and seems like I stay at a different hotel every time. I get the names of the properties confused - a couple are nice and a couple are very meh. Suggestions?

There's a Westin and a Sheraton that should be decent - which part of DFW are you vising though?

Might be nicer hotels closer to the client if you're okay with a few miles away from the airport. And even if the hotels are better, the food/nightlife might be.

I assume work is paying for the hotel.

What travel / booking / reimbursement policies are in play?

Thanks - under $350 which can be tight. I'm there all the time but haven't really found a go to other than Renaissance on Stemmons but they've been priced out.

At 350/night you're going to have to check bonvoy every week because there will be spikes.

Where are you needing to be? Renaissance stemmons isn't that close to the airport so I assume you're downtown/uptown area?

Take a look at the Westin Park Central. Easy shot down 635 express lanes from DFW, located in the middle of N Dallas and overshadowed (in a good way) by the nearby Westin Galleria which commands a price premium because of the mall connection.

Is there a specific office you go to, or is it just a general area you need to be in?

Thanks all - good suggestions. I'm all over Dallas so that's why Renaissance usually makes sense.

In that case, best suggestion I can offer is to pick two or three hotels that you like which are near the restaurants you want to eat at and rotate between them when the prices fluctuate due to local events.

When I used to travel to the Silicon Valley for work, my employer preferred that I stayed at a particular hotel near the office but, when there was an event and prices shot up to $400/night, I'd go to one of my alternates.

I do the same thing in College Station. I can't bring myself to pay $400/night, 2 night minimum for TownPlace Suites so I'll stay at the Knights Inn for less than half that.

There is a Westin right outside the airport (maybe a mile or two away). I took a night class there in the conference area - very nice place. Not far from some good restaurants.

Stayed at the north DFW marriott several times and it's good. When I have the family, sometimes we stay at a Residence Inn on the south side by GB toll road.

It's not that close to DFW but is Love is the Marriott Suites at the medical center. It's across from the Renaissance but like you said that's usually $$$.

If the price is right and you need to be in the the direction, the Gaylord is always cool.
