My wife and 11 year old daughter are going to Boston for 3 days soon. What are the must dos? First time for both of them. Any food recommendations... they both love oysters and lobster. What is the best transportation without a car? Is the subway safe? Thanks

Do not get a car. The first day we rode the hop on and hop off tour bus to get our lay of the land. After that we either walked our used public transport.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But, it's still on the list.

The subway is safe, but like all things be aware of your surroundings and I would avoid the orange line at night. I watched two guys get into a fist fight on the orange line. I'm a solo female traveler and I never felt unsafe in Boston. I would definitely reccomend the aquarium and the museum of science. The museum is very hands on and fun for all ages. You don't need a car and Mike's Pastry's is the go to for Canoli. Salem is a 30 minute train ride if she is interested in witches or history.

Row 34 is great for oysters, and the lobster roll at Eventide Fenway is worth seeking out.
