Looking for a good resort for a family of 6 (kids age 5-12). Cleanliness important, and also want good food and a nice beach, as well as fun kid activities.

Anyone been to Crown Paradise Club? Reviews are mixed but it also seems so inexpensive that I am wondering what is wrong with it?

We live here and our kids prefer Nickolodean and Xel Ha hands down. Xel Ha doesn't have rooms but it's Grupo Xcaret.

Finest Playa Mujeres or maybe Moon Place

Crown Paradise has a great kids area but I've never been impressed with the rest of it.

Thanks! It seems like a lot of places don't have rooms for a family of 6. Nickolodean seems way more expensive!

Crown Paradise will be fairly low end. It is not a resort I sell.

My top sellers:
Dreams Playa Mujeres
Hard Rock Riviera Maya (rooms are small but lots for kids). Beach is coved so it is nice for littles.
Planet Hollywood usually prices decent and has a great beach.
Hyatt Ziva Cancun (but may be harder to find larger rooms).

Good options that are more budget friendly:
Barcelo - Maya Palace is the nicer of the ones, but none are bad.
Iberostars - but I wouldnt do the "Cancun" ones. They are smaller and not as much to do. (Edited - I had would do, I wouldn't do Cancun but would other locations)
Sandos Playacar - budget friendly but on a great beach. Large rooms.

Happy to help if needed, my email is in my profile.

Only complaint I've heard about Hard Rock is the frequency of VERY late wedding receptions on the outside patio between the hotel and beach. Wife photographed 2 last week that went until 1-2am and she said when they left the hotel management said that it was the 4th or 5th wedding in a row that week with more to be expected since it's the start of high season. She said the guests with the rooms facing that direction got so angry (I'm guessing because it was night 3-4 in a row) they started playing their own music off the balcones w the speakers they brought to try to disrupt the party.

Interesting. I'm shocked they let them go that late. I've not had complaints and out of the 3 times I've stayed there, they never had anything in that area, but I know they were setting it up one day. I can totally see how that would be aggravating for sure.

We went to Finest PM with a group of kids a couple of years ago and it was just okay. Probably wouldn't go back.

Thanks! It seems like the budget friendly places don't have rooms for 6 people.

How is Sensira?

How is Sensira?

What dates?

Sensira has really good reviews. Just isn't on a good beach, the water is murky/brown.

The Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe in the hotel zone looks nice with a big pool, nice restaurants and a luxury feel to it. Looks very family friendly too.

We lived in Mexico City for 5.5 years, and while down there stayed at the Iberostar Cancun, and it was lovely! Kids entertained themselves in the kiddie pool while we watched from nearby lounge chairs.

Not sure what price point you are looking for, but these came up as some of the cheaper options that sleep 6. Below is estimated pricing for 4 nights without flights.

Hard Rock Riviera Maya - Deluxe Grand Sky Terrace - little under $4k (2 doubles connecting to king, with rooftop terrace)
Fives Beach Resort - 2 Bedroom Residence - $3k (for your kids ages, this one is generally a solid option). No big water slides, but generally a nice beach, lots of pools.

I'm not showing Crown available, but the estimated pricing it is showing is definitely less than the above. But it is one of those that it would be pretty basic, but it is on a nice beach.

I'm working with a Texager.

Do you have suggestions on rental car? I know not from the airport. I asked in another group but no one responded.

They are going down to Chichen Itza and staying the night nearby (Valladolid).

Do they want a rental car or Private transfer?

Cancun.

I have lots of transfer companies in Cancun. But they were thinking a rental car is best between Cancun and Valladolid and then CI. Or possibly the whole time.
