Morning Ags!!

I'm looking to take my family (3 of us) for a few days & nights to either Cozumel or Cancun in late June/early July. Wanted to see if any of you have any recommendations of a good all inclusive for both locations.

We're looking for a nice beach & pool area that we can relax in (not a party scene). My wife & I love a good lazy river to relax in so that would be a plus. Also maybe play some golf as well.

We're also looking fo an AI that has a shuttle service that will pick you up/take you to the airport.

Thanks & any recs would be appreciated.

Headed to Dreams Playa Mujeres in 4 weeks. Have heard really nice things about it and we're excited. JMAC on here can help out a lot with that area as far as booking etc.

My first question is are you looking for adults only or a family property? As you said you were a family of three. If you're not working with a travel advisor, my contact info is in my bio. I have helped several tex ags here with Mexico vacations as it is one of my specialties.

Planet Hollywood North of Cancun.

The further north the better this summer. Sargassum is up 45% yoy. Isla and Holbox are the least effected.

I love planning summer vacations for families!

Dreams Playa Mujeres has a great lazy river - you will have to have Preferred Club room though.
Dreams Natura has a good lazy river too, and it's a smaller resort feel there.
Moon Palace The Grand is a great choice for families of all ages - great waterpark and lazy river.

Honorable mentions would be Royalton Splash and Hyatt Ziva Riviera - more budget friendly and food/beach are hit or miss but I have some families that love these properties.

I'd be glad to help you out with any questions or booking! Feel free to reach out.

For the most part, the AI in Cozumel sucks. The Secrets there is terrible. Dreams fhe food was inedible. Most beaches are not good there.

Palace will probably have the best food but it's not a beach. El
Presidente has great reviews but it's not AI. The Westin there just started offering g AI and is on a small beach.

Nothing will have lazy rivers, water slides, etc.

El Dorado Maroma is the go-to spot for my wife and I. We go there for r&r, not to adventure. There are some social people there, but it's definitely not a party scene. It's relatively small.

We also really enjoyed El Dorado Casitas - it's next to El Dorado Royale. If you're staying at Casitas you can go to either resort, and have a much more private pool than Royale. If you stay at Royale you can go anywhere at Royale, but not the small pools at Casitas. This complex has more restaurants, and more of a party scene (but not an actual part scene).

Thanks for the recommendation Gvine. It looks great but we will have a 15yo with us.

Heres a daily locals sargassum page.

As you can see this year has been AWFUL.

Scroll down and click on Filtres - then enter the date in the AMERICAN format (5/10 for May 10th).

Itll give you all of the pictures up loaded from that day across the Caribe. The site posted above and the sargassum monitor are what we locals use to determine where to go.

No in Holbox. And 99% of the resorts do not provide transportation, or if they do, its at an additional cost. The few that include it, tend to be more expensive anyways. You are better off booking your own transportation. I use USA Transfers for most of my clients. Happy Shuttle, Canada Transfers, Amstar are other good ones.

You can also look at Laguna Bacalar. It's AMAZING. We're in the process of buying raw land there to develop later. It's a lagoon, not a beach, but it's the most stunningly clear water I've ever seen.

Thanks everyone for your input.

We decided to stay at the Royalton Splash at the end of June. Mainly due to all the activities for an AI and nice pools (just in case the sargassum ruins the beach experience at the time).

Has anyone stayed there and any recs on do's / dont's?

We stayed at the Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe last September and enjoyed it because I had a bunch of Hilton points. Beach was okay but the pools were nice. I am spoiled after the calm beaches in the Caymans.
