Anyone been this time of year?

We are planning to do some of the standard fare, but would love restaurant recommendations or any outfitters you recommend. Just rib and I.

Planning to stay in town as it appears the tram is shut down and I'm assuming the mountain base will be sleepy.

Cafe Genevieve is my favorite breakfast/brunch spot. Sidewinders is a good sandwich/burger spot away from the square. I think they had a bunch of TVs to watch sports but don't hold me to that. Silver Dollar Grill/Bar is also a good day time place with good food and live music. Coe Tavern is a good dinner/cocktail spot. I haven't been back in a few years so hopefully others can help.

You are correct, it will be sleepy, well into shoulder season. You should check, but I would not expect any park services and plan to take lunches with you.

Calico will in Moose is solid for Italian, generally need a reservation.

Lot of good recs already. I like Eleanor's Again for no frills reasonably priced food. You enter through the liquor store…

Creekside Market is a very solid deli for togo sandwiches.

Enjoy!

We went last October and loved it! It was definitely quieter around town but I really enjoyed not having to deal with crowds.
If you're planning on visiting the parks, be sure to pack lunches or food. There's a Target and grocery store in town you can grab stuff from. We did all hikes on our own.

Cowboy Coffee is a must stop. And we loved Cafe Genevieve and The Bunnery Bakery & Restaurant for breakfast. We also had Persephone and while it was fine, I thought the others were better.

Lunch spots we liked - Snake River Brewing, Roadhouse Pub, StillWest Brewing, Jackson Drug, and Mangy Moose in Teton Village

Dinner - We loved Glorietta Trattoria and FIGS. We also had Hand Fire Pizza one night that was amazing, but could also do this for lunch. Hatch Taqueria was okay, was expecting more but it was fine. Local and Gather are also great choices.

We only had drinks at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar but I've heard the food there is fantastic.

Enjoy your trip! Now, I'm off to try and find a time to go back!

Can second several of the above and will add Snake River Grill on the Square and highly recommend the steak tartare pizza.

I was there last week for a couple of days. Colors starting to change on Aspen.

Aurora restaurant is a can't miss evening dining location. It is new this year in the top of snow king. Get reservation online, take gondola up and watch sunset over the grand. We went up hr early with backpack full of drinks and sat outside in public area for an hr before dinner. Amazing views!! Dinner was very good also.

Dornans, if open, is also good place to watch sunset. They have huge wine selection and a solid pizza.

Creekside, agree with others. Great sandwich to pack for lunch

Jackson lake Lodge, another great place to dine with views

Jenny lake Lodge also has waterfront dinning ) drinks and appetizers

Go up that way pretty regular as one of my siblings moved there 30yrs ago.

Enjoy!!

Spent the whole week up there last week, still a little warm but I'm sure its cooling down quickly now.
Few spots that weren't mentioned that are great as well.

The Bistro
The Blue Lion (been going there since they opened in 1978), still in the same original location
Nora's Fish Camp in Wilson for breakfast or lunch
Take the Tram out in TV to the top and have a waffle for breakfast at Corbet's Cabin Top of the World
Don't expect any park services to be available due to govt. shutdown
I miss the old Jackson Hole very much, like most great places it has been overrun with too many people with more money than sense!
