Any recommendations on places to stay in Colorado Springs in mid June? There will be 4 of us (me, wife, 14 yr old son, 12 yr old daughter). This will be our first time traveling to Colorado Springs. Open to renting a house/town home/condo or a resort/hotel. Thank you

It does look great. Unfortunately, they do not have availability on the dates we are looking to go.

If Broadmoor is sold out look at these:

Hotel Polaris
Cheyenne Mountain Resort
Garden of the Gods Resort and Club

Summer family trip a few years back. We stayed in Green Mountain Falls, up the mountain from Colorado Springs. We did things out away from town as well as in town. Great peaceful location.

Look up this # 2363791 and VRBO on Google.

Haven't stayed there but had a meeting and attended a promotion ceremony at Polaris and it's really nice.

And went to a retirement ceremony and met a buddy who was in town for work for drinks at the bar at Cheyenne mountain and it looked like a pretty nice spot as well.
But keep checking on the broadmoor to see if anything opens up. Even if it doesn't look into the Sunday brunch, it's solid.

If you don't go the resort route I'd look at staying in the town of Manitou Springs. It's just west of Colorado Springs, you aren't losing much access to anything in the city, and it's more in the mountains in addition being a pretty cool town.

Thank you. Any specific rental property you would suggest?

Sorry, no never stayed in the town. I'd say biggest thing to consider on where to stay in Manitou is if you care to be walking distance to their main drag of restaurants and shops (Manitou Ave I think?).

We went a couple years ago and stayed in Cascade. It's higher elevation so get a little cooler but only about 20 min outside Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs gets pretty warm in the summer so just be prepped that it's not like going to a ski town in the summer where the highs are low to mid 80s. We were 95-ish in the afternoon. We went to Cheyenne Mountain zoo which the kids really enjoyed. My wife and her kid (was 17 at the time) did the manitou incline which is pretty intense apparently. Took the Cog rail up Pikes Peak which was neat, but downside is you only have maybe 30-40 min at the top before you have to get back on the train down. Red Rocks open area across from Garden of the Gods is cool, is basically the same thing, and way less crowded. We actually got a photographer and had family pictures taken there which was neat. Probably our favorite thing we did was the Gold Camp Road drive. It's not very long but some really beautiful views and places you can stop and hike around. It ends at (I think) St Mary's Falls which has some cool trails and a fun waterfall. Would highly recommend.

Stayed in an AirB&B in Manitou Springs a couple years ago that June. MS is the town right next to Colorado Springs.
