Got a message that my check was rejected because the handwritten check amounts did not match the number amount...however when I got the check back in the mail, they did match.

Resent another check the day after which they now cannot find....

my advice, print your check amount or even better use a money order if needing a passport.

sheesh.

I once renewed my passport at a post office in South Texas. The guy spoke in Spanglish. I've always remembered that, and it describes who works for the government.

Frankly, I think cursive writing sucks. Everyone rights it differently and I find most of it unreadable. It's just a mish mash of loops. Also, every entity I've written a check to in the past many, many years has requested that you print because cursive is too variable and subjective depending on the writer.

Anytime my wife hands me something she has written I hand it right back and ask her to interpret. It's impossible to read.
