Looking at options other than Mexico for affordable travel. Is Belize safe and what are some recommended all inclusive resorts?

All-inclusive isn't really a thing there. They may have 1-2 but won't be like Mexico AI. I quoted a Marriott property awhile back that does/did have an AI plan.

Is it safe to drive there? I had a friend that did this all the time back in the day. I haven't heard from him in a while though.

Highly recommend Coco Plum in Belize. It's a small private island off the coast and adults only and all inclusive. About 16 cabanas on the island so not crowded. Incredible snorkeling on the reef and fishing available. Some of the best service I've had anywhere I've traveled. Check it out the reviews were always really great and it lived up to it a few years ago when we went.
