Any experience the last week or so? Are security lines horrendous? I have TSA pre-screen KTN status…which I realize doesn't matter much but I don't fly much to justify more.

I'm traveling out of DAL next week and returning via ATL.

I've been watching TSA wait times out of DFW online and for the most part they have been green, less then 5 minute wait. No telling about next week though, those agents will be without a paycheck then for 6 weeks and the amount of pissness will be increasing.

That's correct…but learning there's a TSA app is helpful. I downloaded it. Hopefully it's accurate.

I don't know how "real time" the TSA app is, I think it's more an estimate based on average wait times at whatever day and time you look up. The Love Field site shows parking garage status and TSA wait times. I wouldn't think Love will be too bad. There are only 20 gates so even if it's backed up a little at TSA it should still move relatively quick. If you run into issues, I'd think ATL would be the one... it's one of the busiest airports in the country

I'm flying in and out of actual DFW this weekend. I'm really apprehensive about the wait times. We don't fly enough to be pre-check (like maybe once a year), but I really don't want to stand in a damn 3 hour line. Fingers crossed it's not like what I've been seeing online.

Flown out of Dfw 4 times in the past 10 days (nbd…). No issues whatsoever.

I even did non TSA once because the line was shorter.

Just look up security wait times and a plan accordingly.

That reads like somebody in TSA at IAH is trying to make things as painful as possible. Terminal A is the smallest portion of the typical departing passenger load. terminal C is the highest. So we are going to close TSA pre and limit the number of lanes at C, but keep TSA pre at A and normal lanes open at E? That makes no sense. They should be trying to keep things as normal as possible at C (where the largest passenger load is) and then limit the numbers at A and E as personnel allows.

For all of the issues DFW has this is one thing they have not had to jack with much.

It seems to be concentrated in certain airports, for now. My son got out of DTW this morning with no issues. Folks are hopefully going to demand that the rats in DC fix this. This is joke that returns every few months.

Ugh ATL is awful as is and now to add this. Im moving my flight to Diff regional airport in area.

I saw this today in terminal E. Went there from rental car return even though I was flying out of A bc the terminal A bus line looked liked it was long enough to take a couple of busses to work through and E bus was ready to go. When I got to E it was difficult to find a path downstairs and then to the subway due to how they had two floors of tsa lines snaked around.

A also had an insane regular security line, showing around 120 minutes when I went through around 2pm. Pre-check was longer than typical but I was through in about 20 mins.

I had no line Wednesday at 3pm'ish in term A pre-check. Nola flight yesterday from MSY we walked directly to the ID person in pre-check with zero line.

News this morning in Nola showed lines out the door into the short term parking garage at 8am today. For my flight out of DFW tomorrow afternoon I plan to go really early.

My cousin was in line at MSY for 3.5 hours today

Flew between DFW and ATL last week. 5-10 min in line at both airports. Flew DFW to DCA today - again, about a 5 min wait.

It's all so obviously coordinated to cause the most pain at a particular time.

I've flown a ton during this whole saga (both business and Spring Break) and have never had a wait for anything. And it's not like the airports were dead when I was there. IAH was jammed each time (but no TSA wait) and we flew through MCO on what they called one of the busiest days of the year for them and only waited about 15min.

So, clearly overlords are calling in instructions on what to do and when to cause pain.

Flew out of DFW yesterday afternoon. It took us 8 minutes to get through the normal line.

This should be fun later today.

I'm thankfully flying out of Hobby tomorrow morning. Fly2Houston shows no waits right now.

IAH is an absolute mess.

Not doubting you but what are we saying here- that there actually IS an issue or isn't regarding TSA here. bc most anecdotal evidence here says theres no issues going on but on X and news it appears MUCH different- in order to trigger people?


Or are you saying there IS an issue and its obviously coordinated before midterms just to cause as much unhappiness as possible.

I'm seriously considering eating the cost and drive time and returning via Birmingham instead of Atlanta. Anyone have any experience at that airport? Incredibly, they don't have anything on their website tracking times and the TSA app seems to be historical data as opposed to real-time?

Yikes, hope by end of April this has settled down!

DFW wait times are all less than 10 minutes now. Denver wait times less than 5 minites. LAX less than 5 minutes. I don't understand why a few airports are having such extreme problems.
