Wife and I are getting away for 8 days in mid-May, staying at Angsana in Corfu. Want to explore the island but not sure what the must do's are. Any recommendations for sites/beaches/restaurants are appreciated.

My only experience is a stay at the Pink Palace, which in 1993 was like Hotel California. Did rent a moped for the day and circuited the island. Have fun. Fond memories of the island.

Serious question, are there a lot of Germans there?

Or, where are the noticeable tourist groups from?

Haven't notice much of a trend. Since you mentioned James Bond, we did attend an event at Danillia Village which apparently was the set for many movies including FYEO. Pretty remarkable place.

I did a stop on a cruise there about 15 years ago. It was pretty sleepy in a good way…very authentic and beautiful. Glad to hear it's still great and I would love to get back.

Look forward to going there in about a week and a half myself. We are taking a cruise that stops in there.

Went for a week last summer. We really enjoyed the island. We went into Corfu town 2 nights. We took 2 boat trips.
BALOS YACHTS CORFU PRIVATE CRUISES. This was a sailboat that took us up the northeast coast. Had lunch in a small village/restaurant that overlooked the ocean. This boat trip was about $750 and was really comfortable and nice. We also went to paxos but this was on a nice private speed boat and was closer to $2k http://www.aureliayachting.gr/. Paxos area was really pretty but it was crowded everywhere we went. We did go to a private cove and swam. We were a family of 9

To answer the others. There are very few Americans that visit here and didn't notice an overwhelming amount of Germans.
