I am living in Thailand and the health insurance for my new job does not cover me back in the USA. I need to buy something to cover me while visiting Texas (and Mexico) this summer. Any recommendations?

When I lived in Australia, I'd usually buy a travel policy through Allianz when traveling on my own.

I only had to go to the doctor one time in the USA and it was covered by my work's travel insurance policy.

Can you use Faye for domestic travel? We bought Obama care insurance on the market marketplace and it turns out that it's basically a Houston area policy. That's fine because we live in the Houston area but when we travel finding care might be a problem. (I know they are required to cover emergency care in an emergency. I'm thinking along the lines or urgent care.)

I think this will warrant a call to the insurance company. I typically use annual plans for myself from Allianz, but it's for folks living in the US.

I know I got insurance for clients awhile back that were done to Europe for a few months, and once they hit a certain number of days, it was like $10/day after that (not annual plans). Most annual plans are secondary, not primary.

I would call up Allianz and Travel Insured to get their opinions since you aren't living in the US.
