2 hours to clear departure customs line in Munich. Plane door is now closed and while the flight was fully booked I bet the plane is only 70% full meaning a ton a people didn't get to the gate on time. It was a total cluster. Anyone flying out of here in the coming weeks get to the airport early and into that customs line ASAP!

That is not what I experienced there 3 weeks ago, but I was on a very early flight. I was waiting for the ticket counters to open. But, the departure customs took less than 2 minutes at that time of the morning. Two weeks prior when I arrived on a mid afternoon flight, it was similar on entry, very quick.

We flew out of Munich in April and it took over an hour to go through departure immigration. Complete unorganized cluster. Would have been much worse but a Chinese tour group was causing mass chaos at the automated stations and the airport staff let us cut around it. The Weihenstephan brewery and beer garden isn't far from the airport and a great place to drown your sorrows.
