Out here they thankfully haven't discovered frontage roads along highways so there is basically no stripmall development along the highways. The Beltway in VA is bordered most everywhere by trees. It is quite nice.

Honestly, I like having four seasons. And no, I don't mean unbearable summer heat, post summer heat, mild heat with random ice storms, and pre-summer heat.
I do miss the people and being close to Aggieland, though.

Whatever... Not that Texas is bad. It just depends on what you like to do with your spare time. Indoors-Texas. Outdoors-about 15 other states...

Born in Texas, live in Florida. I love Texas a little more equally, but SW Florida is a real hidden gem as well.
The snow skiing in Texas can't be beat.
White sand beaches & clear water > shorelines littered with seaweed & syringes
