Give your place, occupation, and class year...

Looking at moving to the area for a job, and just wanted to know who is where and what, etc.

I live in Pullman, WA. About 75 miles south of Spokane. Been here almost a year. It's a big change from Texas, but we like it. What is bringing you to this part of the country?

Class of '90.

I visited Portland over a spring break with my girlfriend a few years ago when I was looking at seminaries. I've since dropped the seminary plan and am going the professional route in financial planning. I'd like to take another trip up there in the next month or so to introduce myself to some firms in both Portland and Seattle. The PacNW is wonderful and the people are even better, and I would love the chance to start out up there.

I've lived in Portland, Oregon for 3 years now ... Class of '03 ... and I work for the Department of the Interior.

The northwest is definitely an amazing place to live if you like the outdoors! Consistent winter rain in some places takes some time to get used to, but the summers make it all worth it :-)

Normandy Park, WA

Class of '97

Civil Engineer

for a place to live, Federal Way sucks! Lots of crime. I lived there. Stay away from that whole SeaTac Mall 320th St. area.

Try Auburn, and some parts of Kent, Burien, and Des Moines.

I'm in Portland, OR, working as an engineer for pacemakers/defibrillators. Class of 2004.

Been here about 8 months now. In general I like it. I've got a few complaints about the weather, but hopefully the sunny, low humidity, 16 hours of daylight summer will make up for it.

Class of '74 living in SE Washington (Tri-Cities, Walla Walla and College Place) since 1985. Work for the Walla Walla District, US Army Corps of Engineers. Warm to hot summers, colder winters but not too cold. No twisters, not a whole lot of insects, quite a bit drier climate than College Station. Nice country any direction you go from here.

I can't remember spring coming so late since I was a kid. Hard to say if this is "normal" or "abnormal." Stupid Global Warming...
