Last week, I was down in Texas for a wedding. With the reception in Bryan, and being MOH, I made multiple trips to B/CS through my visit.
I had intended to take some pictures of all the changes, but I was either too busy or it was pouring down rain. So I only got two semi-decent pictures on campus:

I've not spent a LONG period of time away from CS since graduation. My family lives in the area, so I've been around relatively often since 2003.
Despite that, I was SO LOST much of the time!! My friend kept having to give me directions to places I'd been a million times as a student.
Campus along Wellborn and over near Northgate? Almost unrecognizable. The new athletic complex? I'm sorry... but... its just ugly. Looks like a big airplane hanger or something. Especially when you come up Wellborn towards George Bush. Looks okay from Houston Street, I guess.
I took my bridal portraits under the bell tower late in 2006. Now there's a building going up where that parking lot was over near the tower. Like my friend said, glad I got my pictures done when I did.
As for the rest of College Station? Holy smokes the changes!!! Coming from Hwy. 6 on University... I went down it probably 10 times over the course of a week, and every time I saw something different and new. You could easily have an accident checking out all the changes. And as always Texas is under a perpetual state of construction. I thought they had finished it last year when I went through there, but here we are under construction yet again.
Red Lobster is now on University, but that's the only thing that's changed about the shopping mall over with Best Buy and Barns and Noble. (For those that don't know, there's a new Freebirds over by Cheddars, along with a new stripmall, and Fry Daddy's is open finally. LOL) Ninfa's, I noticed, is building a new restaurant on the loop over between Harvey and University.
I was simply amazed. Those of you who haven't been back in a long time... brace yourself when you do! I swear CS has changed more in the last couple of years than it did the whole time I was a student there.
