How long do you want to ignore this user?
We may be moving to the area this summer for a job at Arizona State. Any advice about good areas, where to live, etc.? Is it good to live near the University? We have a toddler and a baby, so quiet neighborhoods would be best...
Any info is GREATLY appreciated!

The suburbs south of Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, and Ahwatukee, are residential and probably what you are looking for in terms of peace and quiet. Much of Scottsdale away from "Old Town" is also residential, though the commute driving south in the morning on the 101 wouldn't be that great.

I would move to Ahwatukee if I were moving to AZ. It's close enough and it's a beautiful area. It reminds me of Grapevine here in NorTex.

I'm moving to the Phoenix area as well, but will be working directly in Tempe. If your single, and mid 20's, what would be your best reccomendation to live?

Tempe or Scottsdale for the young single. Temp, Gilbert or the "tuk" for the family!

I just moved to Phoenix from Houston and we chose to live North of Phoenix in the Anthem community. It's very family friendly with a water park, playgrounds, sports fields, etc. The only problem is it is quite a bit north, but compared to Houston, traffic is not half as bad. I also have a home office and only have to come into town about 5 times a month.
