any Ags in Sandusky, OH?

My sister, class of '98, is moving there within the next 6 months. Her husband is being transferred there. From what I've seen online, it looks pretty good.

Big questions...how is it doing in this economy? How is real estate there? What are the schools like??

She's in real estate in Yuma, AZ now (I'm so glad they're getting out of there) and her husband is in law enforcement. They have a 15 month old.

I'm in Michigan. So far I do not have high regards for the midwest.

Economy is probably the worst in the US.

Just a warning, the winters have been getting worse in Michigan. I don't think last year was so pretty in Ohio.

jen, it's up on the lake so you'll get lake effects a lot in the winters. contrary to maroonblood's comment, the economy is very good in sandusky. that's home to cedarpoint: the rollercoaster capital of the world. very nice city and have been there many times. there's lots to do and toledo and cleveland aren't that far away. sandusky is a very popular vacation destination for both inbreds from michigan and from canadians

Never been to Sandusky, but from what I have been seeing from Columbus/Dayton and to the south has been really bad. Just expected it to be just as bad elsewhere up here.

housing market must be pretty bad.

my sister sent me a link to a listing for a log cabin-type house that was almost 4,000 square feet, and on 4 acres.

only $198,000.

not bad. good time to be a homebuyer i suppose. bad time to sell.
