Need 'em. Husband is there on business til next friday and is tired of Wafflehouse. Been to Manci's in Daphne, looking for similar eateries. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I didn't see this until today. I don't know much about the area immediately surrounding Mobile, but there are some good ones when you hit Florida (about an hour away).

Always heard about Lambert's in Foley, AL, but never went. www.throwedrolls.com

The Dew Drop Inn has the best hot dogs I've ever had. Felix's Fish Camp on the causeway is top notch sea food, but a bit pricey. The Brick Pit on Old Shell just south of University is a hole in the wall BBQ joint that has won all kinds of awards. Don't waste your time at Dreamland BBQ. Namen's at the corner of Old Shell and Sage Ave is fantastic. Right across the street is an amazing ice cream shop. Hope this helps.

Edit:
I just noticed that this was a few weeks old. Try these next time.

Thank you Farmer! Better late than never. Actually, he's back home now. He traveled to Daphne a few nights EVERY week while he was there to eat at Manci's Antique Club. Claimed their "Spider" sandwich was "too good" not to.
