Any Ags who live/have lived here? Company wants me to take a promotion in SLC; I have been out here all weekend and am now more confused than when I left. I really like the job opp, but am terrified of starting over in Salt Lake. Help!

SLC is very beautiful. Don't underestimate how different the culture of the area is, though. Non-mormons are by far the minority. Unless, of course, you're a mormon, then never mind.

I lived in Salt Lake City 3 years ago and am moving back in 3 weeks for a contract position. Things I've compared to living everywhere else (from DC to San Diego):

1) Clean air
2) Beautiful scenery
3) Friendly people
4) Near-beer and bar memberships

If I'm not mistaken, they recently changed some of the laws.

They did change the membership laws recently, but they still have near-beer and 1.5 oz coctails, etc. which really sucks.

As an update, still waiting on my official offer letter seeing if they are gonna show me the money - still haven't decided if I am willing to move there yet - keep the advice coming!
