Northwest suburb of Philadelphia. Currently reside in Ft. Worth, TX. What kind of cost of living increases could I expect? Is there a state-income tax in PA? Is housing outrageously more expensive? I currently rent in downtown FW.

I am a CPA in Oregon. PA has state inomce tax, and the large cities have a city income tax. I had to do a return last year and it was no phone

I would avoid living right in Philly. There is a city tax. Where exactly is the job located? I live right outside of Philly on the new jersey side. There are a lot of nice little towns in the northwest

Compare your rent/space for comparables close to your potential new job. As mentioned before, consider the Philadelphia city tax along with the state income tax. I have lived in both, but as far as rent goes, I do not know how they compare now. I would assume that typical rents in FW would be a lot less than in desirable areas in Philly or the surrounding areas, but if you live in downtown FW, it may be somewhat comparable. Do not rent apartments sight unseen anywhere around Philly. There are shady areas everywhere. S. Jersey is a little better, but it can be rough too. Also, do not where your Cowboys sh#t to an Eagles game unless you are sitting in a luxury box. That is the best advice I can give.
