planning a trip to NYC over the holidays, and wondering what are the can't miss things to do with 4 kids 5-10 yrs during that time of year.

Wife is already planning to see a couple broadway plays, and I know that with girls, we will be window shopping a ton. I am wondering: Statue of Liberty, museums, strolling times square, what else???; how long is long enough, and what are some things that we can't/shouln't forget to do?

Ice skating in central park.
See the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center(too small and crowded to ice skate there though).
I would highly recommend the Rockette's Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
It is pricey, but about the same price as a Broadway show and probably more enjoyable for the kids.
Lombardi's Pizzeria, the first pizzeria in the U.S, is fun and is tastes great.
Statute of Liberty, Empire State Building, and Brooklyn Bridge will be cold but are great to see.
St. Paul's Chapel near the WTC is cool as is the Trinity Church at Wall Street.
For the kids the Hershey's Store, M&M Store, and FAO Schwarz are fun.
The American Museum of Natural History also might be enjoyable.

gigm pretty well covered it

Wollman rink in Central Park is def a better place to skate than Rockefeller...Bryant Park in Midtown will have a rink too

If you want to take a trip to Brooklyn, Grimaldi's is the best pizza, just under the bridge and easily accessible by train....also, best cheesecake is Junior's - original is also in Brooklyn, but there is one near Times Square and another in Grand Central Terminal

if you tell me some of the things/foods/types of attractions you like, happy to help

Thanks, all

I'll share this with my wife, and after we come up with some sort of itinerary, I'll post it to make sure none of y'all think we're leaving off something important.

Again, thanks for the input...the kids are very excited, and therefore so am I

My family is buying Radio City Tickets for this Christmas as well and we found this discount code that gets you half off on some of the tickets.

SAVE18 http://www.radiocitychristmas.com/tickets/promotion.html?p_id=SAVE18

Also, if you want Statue of Liberty tickets, then I would try to get them now because there still are a few tickets available to go up in the Crown. It is pretty cool, they are only a few bucks more, but sell out a few months in advance.
