I asked my Gator wife and she said she never heard anything bad about the area and that Destin had a really nice beach, but she knows the east coast of Florida much better

I've been a Floridian for going on six years now, and in that time Texas has had more hurricanes than Florida. There are some great beaches up there!

Scim - If you guys are in that area, holler.

The hubby looked up the insurance stats and PCB is only slightly more likely to get hit than Houston (where we currently live).

But the chances of having a gator in the pool are MUCH greater there.
