I'll be in downtown Raleigh early next week for a few days. Anything to do, places to go? Our company's car service is booked solid, so I probably won't be able to get a car. If I do however, anything in town I should checkout? There's a good chance I will be moving there in 2 months.

The entire "Glenwood South" area has undergone a renaissance in the last years. Lots of clubs, restaurants, etc.

Well, looks like I'll be moving to Raleigh after Thanksgiving. I'm in the hunt for something near downtown. I was thinking about renting in the Bishops Park area. Units look to be about a $1/sq foot. Any realtors out there I should try calling?

Don't know anything about places to live in Raleigh (been in Durham for a year)...but make sure you sign up to receive Triangle A&M Club news at:

Look forward to meeting you and having you in the area!

Finc. If you are looking to rent an appartment look at Wildwoods of Lake Johnson appts. That's were i lived when i moved to raleigh. It's near NC State, a couple miles from downtown raleigh, right next to the beltline and borders Cary. The rent there is reasonable with good access to a lot of different things.

how old are you and what are you really looking for? what area are you working at? traffic's not terrible around here, but it all depends on your perspective.

26, class of '07. Working downtown, looking for something in Bishops Park. Nothing crazy fancy, but I see a few 2/2 and 2/1.5 for around $1 sq/ft.

Looking to stay close to areas where I can go out from time to time and enjoy myself.

that's not a bad area. probably alot cheaper than living right off of glenwood south, which is the biggest/best party area in raleigh. not far from NCSU either, so plenty of area hotties.

Finc, where are you going to be downtown? What company are you working for? I work for Progress Energy downtown. Let me know if you have any specific questions about downtown Raleigh.

I'll be on Fayettville. I don't want to say my company since I've made some ridiculous comments on these boards. But I'll be moving over the New Years weekend and will need to find a bar to hopefully watch the Ags BTHO an SEC team in the Cotton.

I'll be sure to try and meet everyone once I'm in town.

Sounds good. Fayetteville street is a pretty good one to work on. Lots of restaurants in the area and you will be right down the street from the state capitol building. Try not to laugh too loud when you see our grand NC capitol building. Good luck with your move

Are there any Ags getting together for the Cotton Bowl? I'm moving over New Years weekend and my stuff won't be delivered for another week.

So would anyone suggest a good place to watch some football?
