My brother's moving to Shreveport in January. Anybody know anything good about that place?

nope. i know about it...nothing good though.

My wife moved away from there....oh wait! Terry Bradshaw and Joe Ferguson were from there. The Southern Maid Donuts are good....that is all good that I can think of.

it's a very service oriented place. a lot of people work at the casinos and restaurants. centenary and lsus are there but there are also a lot of technical colleges there. bars are open until 6am. what kind of information were you looking for?

I'm from Bossier City. It's across the river from Shreveport. If they can live in Bossier while working in Shreveport. Both of my parents did that and a lot of other people I know do that as well.

It's extremely easy to get a cab anywhere you want to go, and cheap as well. There's a horseracing track just North of Bossier that's pretty fun to go to on Sundays. Also, if he's into it, Larry Flynts strip club is awesome, or so I've been told. Also don't go to Josh's if you're white. I've also heard it's full of Cowboys fans, so that'll suck.

The roads downtown kinda suck but all and all a pretty fun town to spend the weekend in. Not sure about living there though.
