I posted this on the International board, but got no responses...

My sister's family is thinking about moving to Indonesia, but the company does not provide health insurance. As part of the benefits package they are given X amount of dollars to pay for insurance and other expenses. What would be the best/most affordable way to purchase health insurance. Obviously they need insurance for while they're there, but what about when in the U.S. for visits home. My sister is concerned about being able to return to the U.S. in the case of major disease (cancer, etc) or if she decides to have another child. They currently have two children (5 & 2). The entire family is healthy. Thanks for your advise.

I worked in Canada for a couple of years and had international insurance. Therefore, it did not matter what country I was in. I was covered if needed in Canada or if I was in the US. I had a friend's insurance company set me up and get me the best deal. You can contact him at james.hebert@hebertinsurance.com. He's also an Aggie.
